Jonathan is a business mogul, largely misuderstood in his own time but most certainly a rowing genius. Having taken a year out through injury these skills may need a little refinement, though it can only be a matter of time before he is back to take over the world once more.
Name: Nick Church
D.O.B: 18/12/87
Course: English
Nick is relatively new to rowing, having started when he came to the university. His aims are to get regular crews out together to train and get some pots for everyone. He enjoys a bit of coaching but regularly coxes boats straight into landing stages. He also previously occupied the Secretary role, and his swimming has improved a lot since his first time in a single.
Name: Dan Grant
D.O.B: 24/03/88
Course: Sport and Exercise Science
Dan has been rowing from the age of 16, starting with Loughborough uni while at college in Loughborough, has competed at BUSA every year, and at Henley Royal Regatta during both years at Loughborough. Formally chairman and men's captain among other things, has a key coachng role in the mens squad.
Name: Johnny Catchpole
D.O.B: 11/07/89
Course: Environmental Conservation
Johnny has been rowing for three years, two at Deben rowing club woodbridge and one at Hallam. Throughout this time he has only capsized once due to his partner in crime catching a crab. (Not his fault though! - this claim is yet to be confirmed) In his spare time Gunsa likes to wrestle live lions for training and eats a diet of pure uranium rods. Its rumoured he lived with ninjas and part of his training was to row a boat single-handedly up a mountain stream.
Johnny also has an active imagination!
Name: Sam Churhill
D.O.B: 30/03/89
Course: Business Information Systems
Sam is soon going on placement but has been rowing for 6 years, starting of as part of Project Oarsome at Evesham Rowing Club. Formally mens captain he plays a key role in sharing the love among the club! He was initiated as an extremely drunken smurf, who was physically molesterd and abused whilst tied to his captain, with his pants down in a pub toilet.
Name: Dan Hazlewood
D.O.B: 29/09/87
Course: Environmental Management
After a year on sport science, Dan decided to follow his passion for hugging trees. It was in this 2nd year at hallam he took up rowing, initially to try and wind up his housemate DG, he is now hooked and is taking on the role as vice captain. Dan compares himself to such celebrities as Mat Damon, Clark Kent and Jamie Foxx???????
Now heading on placement to do the same job as Homer SImpson, he will no doubt come back with lots of thirst for rowing next year
Name: Luke Squire
D.O.B: 17/10/87
Course: Physiotherapy
Luke has rowed for 7 years, starting at school. He has competed at a number of the major competitions including schools head, nat schools, busa, mens head and henley qualifiers.
Luke's main passions are rugby, beer and if ur lucky taking his clothes off !
on top all this luke attempts to be a physio student !!!!
