About Us
Who we are
We are an ever growing club catering for all levels, whether perusing your passion, or wanting to learn. We train hard, and play hard, your choice on the ratio. Welcoming all students from hallam, especially smaller people wanting to be in control of 8 people in tight lycra, you know you want to. Men and women training together, competing against other clubs and universities on and off the water.
Our Training
Every tuesday we have circuit training, based at university, followed by a few drinks. Circuit training is done at whatever pace you like, so caters for all levels of ability. Once the swim tests are out of the way we will be heading down to damflask reservoir every weekend, and mid week if you have the time. At damflask we teach people how to row and have fun on the water, getting lots of fresh air. Extra land training is advised and we will have set sessions for anyone who wants to put in the extra time, using rowing machines, weights or any other sort of training you want.
Damflask (map)
Damflask reservoir is set on the edge of the peak district, just a few miles out of sheffield, easy to drive to, or if you fancy the extra challenge join some of us on bikes. The reservoir is approximately 1800m long when it is full surronded by lots of wildlife. We share our facilities with our friendly rivals from city of sheffield rowing club, and sheff uni rowers.

Coaching
We are coached by our regional ARA coach Eddie, he coaches multiple times in the week and on a Saturdays, assisting him are various senior members, all qualified, experienced. We also have a couple of coaches with powerboat licences, so we can drive along being able to use video analysis and give lots of coaching advice.
